Green Beans

1. Once again, a well-composted top layer of soil is a must. Choose a sunny area and either set up a trellis or beans poles, or set up near a fence that can act as a natural trellis. Create little mounds of soil 6-8” tall, and drop in 5-10 seeds. A layer of mulch on top of the soil will help retain moisture and regulate temperatures.

2. Seeds will germinate within a week, and need to be kept lightly moistened until that time. Plants need to be deeply watered once a week after sprouting and lightly watered in between if the soil seems quite dry.

3. Once sprouts are tall enough they can be trained to grow up the trellis/fence/pole/etc. just by wrapping them around it.

4. After 65-80 days, you’ll be continuously harvesting delicious beans all season! Congratulations
